Dubai will welcome over 1,000 industry professionals from more than 50 countries for the Fastmarkets' Middle East Iron and Steel 2024 conference, taking place from November 18th to 20th at the Madinat Conference Centre.
The event will explore the evolving role of steel in the Middle East's transformation, driven by mega-projects that are reshaping infrastructure and the economy.
With the region's emphasis on energy transition and economic diversification, the steel sector is crucial to fulfilling future aspirations. Fastmarkets' expert-led agenda promises a comprehensive examination of market trends, legislative changes, and technological advancements affecting the global steel industry.
The conference will feature keynote addresses from prominent figures, including Omar Ahmed Suwaina Al Suwaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT), who will open the proceedings with insights into the region’s industrial vision. Other industry leaders, such as Saeed Alghafri, CEO of Emirates Steel, and Ravi Singh, CEO of SULB Company, will also participate in panel discussions and share their expertise on sustainable steel production.
