The Korea Expo UAE opened at the Dubai World Trade Centre with a strong turnout, bringing together more than two hundred Korean companies and multiple government entities in a showcase that highlighted Korea’s growing cultural and economic footprint in the region.
The three day event, organised by the Korea Creative Content Agency, features 218 companies across food, beauty care and innovation sectors, along with 12 government bodies from the Republic of Korea. Visitors explored a wide range of exhibitions designed to introduce modern Korean lifestyle trends and consumer experiences.
KOCCA also staged an interactive Korean experience show at Global Village Dubai, blending technology, entertainment and culture to engage a wider international audience. Organisers said the venue provided an ideal backdrop for cultural connection and creative exchange.
Youngil Park, Director of the KOCCA UAE Centre, said Dubai’s position as a global hub for capital, technology and transport made it the perfect setting to present contemporary Korean culture. He noted that the expo was built as an experiential platform where visitors could join beauty demonstrations, watch live cooking shows and explore exhibitions inspired by Korean intellectual property.
Rak Kyun Kim, Head of Global Innovation at KOCCA, said Global Village offered a cultural environment aligned with the expo’s goals. He highlighted the convergence of artificial intelligence, content creation and global capital exchange as a key theme, reflecting Korea’s expanding role in global creative industries.
The expo includes music performances, public activities and business focused sessions, offering a comprehensive window into Korea’s cultural and innovation landscape while deepening engagement with audiences across the Middle East.
