L’Étape Dubai by Tour de France will return in January 2026 with new race routes, an expanded festival atmosphere, and a broader programme of community rides, organisers announced this week.

The event, presented by Škoda and supported by Dubai Sports Council, is now open for registration and will take place on 24–25 January.

Starting from Dubai Design District and finishing at Expo Village Park, the 2026 edition will feature routes past some of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Cyclists can choose between the 112 km Epic Race, the 61 km Classic Race, and the family-friendly 20 km Family Ride, while children will take part in shorter races ranging from 300 metres to 1.8 km.

The finish line and Saturday programme will be hosted at Expo Village Park, which will serve as the central hub for participants and spectators. An expanded Race Village will offer activities, exhibitor showcases, and interactive experiences, reinforcing the event’s festival spirit.

Organisers are also extending the programme beyond race weekend, with social rides across the UAE planned from September through January to engage the cycling community and encourage participation from riders of all levels, including initiatives to boost women’s involvement.

The inaugural edition in 2025 attracted over 1,000 riders, including 243 international participants, making it the largest first-edition amateur cycling event in the UAE. The 2026 edition aims to double that number, welcoming up to 2,000 cyclists.

Backed by Dubai Sports Council, Škoda Middle East, Dubai Police, and international partners, the event is positioning itself as a leading fixture on the regional sporting calendar. With new routes, expanded activities, and greater international reach, L’Étape Dubai 2026 is set to showcase Dubai’s growing passion for cycling on a global stage.
