Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has officially renamed the UAE Exchange Metro Station to Life Pharmacy Metro Station, following a 10-year naming rights agreement with Life Pharmacy Group.

The move marks another milestone in RTA’s successful Metro Naming Rights initiative, launched in 2009.

The agreement was signed between Life Pharmacy and Hypermedia, with Mada Media acting as the authorised concessionaire under its existing concession agreement with RTA. The collaboration highlights the growing synergy between Dubai’s public sector and leading private entities.

Abdul Mohsen Ibrahim Kalbat, CEO of RTA’s Rail Agency, described the partnership as a strategic step forward.

“RTA is committed to forging successful partnerships with the private sector, given its vital role in driving national economic growth,”

he said, emphasising the initiative’s contribution to knowledge transfer, job creation, and broader development goals.

Mohamad Al Hammadi, CEO of Mada Media, hailed the partnership as a strategic opportunity to transform metro stations into high-impact branding spaces.

“This initiative allows naming rights sponsors to elevate their visibility and strengthen engagement with the public,”

he said.

Life Pharmacy Group Chairman and Managing Director Abdul Rahuman Abdul Nazzar noted the significance of the station as a key hub in Dubai’s transport network.

“This partnership goes beyond naming rights—it reflects our commitment to the city and its communities,”

he said.

The rebranding process will begin in May and continue through August 2025. RTA will update directional signage, smart digital systems, mobile applications, and audio announcements to reflect the new station name.

The agreement reinforces Dubai’s commitment to public-private collaboration, offering companies a chance to integrate more deeply into the city's infrastructure while enhancing commuter experience.
