Dubai has officially unveiled National Paints Metro Station on the Red Line, marking a strategic step in expanding public-private partnerships and reinforcing the city’s position as a global hub for innovative investment opportunities.

The station, formerly known as Jebel Ali, was renamed during a ceremony attended by officials from the Roads and Transport Authority, Mada Media, Hypermedia, and representatives from National Paints. The move reflects growing momentum behind Dubai’s metro naming rights programme, which continues to attract leading regional and global brands.

In 2025, the station recorded more than 636,000 passengers, while the National Paints brand generated over 47 million impressions, highlighting the commercial value of such partnerships. Mada Media, which manages naming rights under an exclusive mandate, is now building on this success as it prepares to extend the initiative to the upcoming Blue Line, set to launch in 2029.

Officials say the model supports revenue diversification and enhances operational sustainability across Dubai’s transport network. The Blue Line is expected to serve nine key areas with a projected population of one million by 2040, and will feature the world’s highest metro station with a daily capacity of up to 160,000 passengers.

Industry leaders view the partnership as more than a branding exercise. It positions companies within Dubai’s urban infrastructure while offering continuous visibility across signage, digital platforms, and passenger touchpoints.

The initiative continues to strengthen Dubai’s appeal as a destination for strategic investments, aligning with long-term urban development goals and reinforcing its global standing in infrastructure and outdoor advertising.
