Majra, the UAE’s National CSR Fund, advanced its strategic agenda during its third Board of Trustees meeting of 2025, chaired by Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism.

The meeting focused on strengthening public-private-philanthropic partnerships and enhancing CSR standards across the country.

The Board reviewed progress on key strategic goals, explored new mechanisms to activate operational frameworks, and prepared for two flagship events: the "Impact Retreat" and the "Impact Summit," scheduled for 27th to 28th November. Both events are expected to gather local and international leaders, decision-makers, and CSR, ESG, and sustainability professionals. The summit will spotlight initiatives, knowledge-sharing sessions, and project showcases designed to foster meaningful social impact and cross-sector collaboration.

In a significant move, Majra appointed Eng. Amal Abdulrahim, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services at the Ministry of Climate Change and Environment and Chief Executive for Artificial Intelligence and Innovation. She will spearhead digital transformation initiatives and operational efficiency efforts to support the UAE’s climate and sustainability objectives.

The Board also welcomed Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, CEO of the Securities and Commodities Authority, bringing over two decades of expertise in finance, governance, and public policy. Al Awadhi will contribute to developing regulatory frameworks aligned with international standards and promote market integrity to support national economic priorities.

The meeting underscored Majra’s commitment to sustainable development and strategic collaboration, positioning the UAE to advance impactful CSR initiatives and strengthen partnerships across sectors.
