MBC Group has been named the Strategic Partner for the fourth edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, the world’s largest event dedicated to content creation.
The Summit, organised by the UAE Government Media Office, will take place in Dubai from January 9 to 11, 2026, across Jumeirah Emirates Towers, the Dubai International Financial Centre, and the Museum of the Future.
The partnership highlights the growing role of Arab media institutions in promoting purposeful content, supporting the development of Arabic media, and elevating its global presence. MBC Group will leverage its three-decade media legacy to support Summit initiatives and participating creators, sharing expertise in premium content production to empower the next generation of talent.
Bassam Albraikan, Director of PR, CSR, and Corporate Communications at MBC Group, said the partnership reflects the company’s commitment to nurturing young Arab talent and enhancing Arabic content on the global stage. He emphasised that collaboration between traditional and digital media will create a more integrated media ecosystem across the region.
Hussein Al Atouli, Director of the New Media Academy, noted that the Summit offers content creators access to knowledge, technology, and opportunities to engage with leading media institutions. He added that this synergy between new and traditional media will strengthen Arabic content and enable creators to compete internationally.
The fourth edition builds on the success of the 2025 Summit, which drew over 15,000 creators, 420 speakers, and 125 CEOs and global experts. Key initiatives for 2026 include the world’s largest AI-generated film award in partnership with Google, the Creators Ventures Accelerator with up to AED 50 million in funding, and a dedicated pavilion for content creation companies, offering creators new avenues for innovation, collaboration, and global visibility.
