The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has reported a significant increase in private jet movements, with 8,472 recorded in the first half of 2024, reflecting a 7% growth compared to the same period in 2023.
This growth underscores the maturity of Dubai's business aviation ecosystem and solidifies Al Maktoum International Airport's position as the leading airport for international business aviation movements in the Middle East.
Following a record 16,657 private jet movements in 2023, MBRAH forecasts these movements to reach 18,000 by the end of 2024.
HE Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, expressed optimism about continued growth, citing new developments in aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities, as well as the upcoming MEBAA Show in December 2024.
MBRAH serves as a key hub for global aerospace players, offering top-tier connectivity and housing major airlines, private jet companies, and associated industries within Dubai South. The hub is also home to maintenance centres and educational campuses, further positioning Dubai as a leading aviation capital.
