MBRSC and Dubai Health Partner to Enhance Astronaut Health and Innovation in Space Healthcare
The Mohammed Bin Rashid Space Centre (MBRSC) has announced a groundbreaking collaboration with Dubai Health aimed at bolstering the health and safety of astronauts, while driving innovation in health sciences.
H.E. Salem Humaid AlMarri, Director General of MBRSC, emphasized the paramount importance of astronaut well-being, stating,
“This agreement ensures our astronauts receive the best care before, during, and after missions. By partnering with Dubai Health, we not only enhance astronaut health but also pioneer advancements in space healthcare and health sciences.”
H.E. Dr. Amer Sharif, CEO of Dubai Health, echoed this sentiment, underscoring Dubai Health’s commitment to supporting Emirati astronauts and advancing national scientific capabilities.
“Our role is crucial in providing quality healthcare environments, comprehensive health assessments, and continuous health monitoring during space missions,”
he affirmed.
The partnership will see MBRSC and Dubai Health collaborate on comprehensive health assessments, astronaut training programs, and the integration of health data to support space missions effectively. The initiative aims to advance medical technologies and methodologies related to space healthcare, contributing to the UAE’s leadership in both space exploration and healthcare innovation.
