The Mohammed Bin Rashid School of Government has launched a new leadership initiative aimed at equipping national talent with the skills to drive government transformation and sustain the UAE’s trajectory of excellence.
The ‘Government Leadership Programme on the Path of Mohammed Bin Rashid’ is an applied training initiative designed for department directors, mid-level officials, and emerging leaders across federal and local entities. It focuses on enhancing decision-making, strengthening leadership capabilities, and enabling participants to lead organisational change with confidence and efficiency.
Grounded in the leadership philosophy of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the programme translates insights from the book The Path of Leadership – Following the Footsteps of Mohammed bin Rashid by Ali bin Sebaa Al Marri into a practical, results-oriented learning journey.
The five-day programme combines academic instruction with hands-on application through executive training, leadership coaching, and a simulated boot camp that reflects real government challenges. Participants are also exposed to global best practices and advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to enhance public sector performance.
A 90-day workplace application phase follows the training, ensuring that participants translate knowledge into measurable outcomes aligned with government priorities.
Speaking on the launch, Dr. Al Marri said the programme reflects MBRSG’s commitment to developing leaders capable of translating vision into impact, fostering innovation, and strengthening the UAE’s position as a global hub for effective governance and forward-looking policy development.
