MBRU to Host Fifth Dubai Shoulder Surgery Conference

The Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU) is set to host the fifth Dubai Shoulder Surgery Conference and Exhibition from October 25th to 27th.

Organised by the Emirates Orthopedic Division in collaboration with the Arab Shoulder and Elbow Society, the event will bring together specialists from 18 countries.

The conference will focus on new strategies in laparoscopic shoulder surgery, offering doctors advanced diagnostic and therapeutic practices. With 48 regional and international speakers participating, the event aims to enhance medical expertise in arthroscopic shoulder surgery, joint implantation, and fracture management. Infoplus Events will handle the conference’s organisation.

Dr. Saeed Al-Thani, President of the Arab Society of Shoulder and Elbow, highlighted the importance of the conference in reviewing cutting-edge principles and techniques in shoulder surgery. The event will feature 16 scientific sessions, 85 lectures, live surgical demonstrations, and workshops, including cadaver operations and physiotherapy training.

Participants will have access to the latest research and technology in joint injury care, with more than 15 pharmaceutical and medical device companies sponsoring the event. Dr. Ali Makdis, an Orthopedic Surgeon at Kuwait Hospital, emphasized the conference’s role in fostering discussions and hands-on learning for specialists worldwide, ensuring a comprehensive educational programme for attendees.
