MEIDAM 2024 Opens at Dubai World Trade Centre with Record-Breaking Attendance and Milestones
The ninth International Congress of Medical Excellence in Dermatology and Aesthetic Medicine (MEIDAM 2024) opened today at the Dubai World Trade Centre, marking a significant milestone with over 4,000 expert participants in attendance.
This year’s congress is the largest and most comprehensive gathering of international dermatology professionals to date.
Featuring 275 lectures and a distinguished roster of global dermatology leaders, MEIDAM 2024 welcomes heads of major dermatology associations, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the International League of Dermatological Societies, and the European Academy of Dermatology and Venerology, among others. These leaders are joined by representatives from the MENA region and South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries, all committed to advancing dermatology through collaboration.
The Opening Ceremony, attended by diplomats, VIPs, and dermatology experts, included addresses by Dr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, Nader ElNakib of UNHCR UAE, and Professor Dr. Mondher Letaief from WHO. The ceremony also honored Professor May Hussein Al Samahy, President of the Egyptian Women’s Dermatologic Society, with the Pioneers Award for her significant contributions to dermatology.
Dr. Khaled Al Nuaimi, President of the MEIDAM Congress, expressed pride in Dubai’s role in supporting global advancements in healthcare, noting,

The Congress will continue over the next two days with a blend of scientific workshops, keynote lectures, and networking opportunities. It underscores Dubai’s position as a key destination for global healthcare conferences, driving forward innovations in dermatological science and aesthetic medicine.
