Meydan Free Zone successfully hosted the “Corporate Tax and Compliance Summit” on October 8th and 9th, 2024, drawing leading experts and industry professionals to address critical tax and compliance matters for UAE Free Zones.
The event, themed “All Questions Answered,” served as an essential platform for knowledge sharing and networking.
The first day featured two major sessions. The corporate tax session, moderated by Shiraz Khan from Al Tamimi Group, included insights from Sadeq Khatib of Dubai’s Department of Finance on Corporate Tax Guidelines for Free Zones, followed by presentations on tax technicalities by Liam Purcell of Aurifer and best practices by Nirav Shah of FAME Advisory. Day two expanded on these discussions with further exploration of corporate tax and compliance topics, including contributions from Shamseer Purayil, an Anti-Money Laundering Specialist at the Ministry of Economy, who highlighted recent regulatory developments.
Dynamic Q&A sessions followed each presentation, fostering active engagement between attendees and speakers.
