The UAE Ministry of Economy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ADNOC to enhance the digital transformation of the National Economic Registry, known as the ‘Growth’ platform.
This partnership aims to integrate data and statistics, strengthen digital connectivity, and drive economic development in line with the UAE’s “We the UAE 2031” vision.
The agreement was signed by Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, Assistant Undersecretary for Entrepreneurship and Economic Affairs Regulatory Sector at the Ministry of Economy, and Dr. Saleh Al Hashimi, Director of ADNOC's Commercial and ICV Directorate, during the first edition of Abu Dhabi Business Week at ADNEC (4–6 December 2024).
Al Nuaimi highlighted the MoU as a milestone in the UAE’s efforts to enhance its digital infrastructure, noting that it positions data as a strategic tool to support sustainable development and economic competitiveness. He emphasized that the collaboration will improve data quality and analysis mechanisms, enhance operational efficiency, and align with global standards.
The partnership establishes a mutual framework for exchanging information, integrating databases, and sharing expertise between the Ministry and ADNOC. This cooperation will develop the skills of work teams and encourage best practices, further strengthening the UAE’s digital economy.
The Ministry’s ‘Growth’ platform connects over 46 entities nationwide, providing a unified portal for more than 2,000 economic activities. Launched in October, the platform standardizes business registration procedures and offers comprehensive access to commercial license information, enabling seamless electronic transactions.
This collaboration underscores the importance of public-private partnerships in shaping a digitally advanced and competitive national economy.
