Ministry of Education Extends Student Registration Deadline for 2025-2026 Academic Year

The Ministry of Education has announced a one-week extension for student registration in public schools across the UAE for the 2025-2026 academic year.

The move, which was revealed on Saturday, aims to provide parents with more time to finalize the enrollment process for their children.

This registration service spans all educational stages, from kindergarten through to twelfth grade, and applies to students enrolling in government schools nationwide. It caters to several categories of students, ensuring an inclusive approach for all those seeking to join the public education system.

Key categories included in the registration extension are:

  1. Newcomers: First-time students entering kindergarten or first grade.
  2. Transfer Students: Those wishing to move from private schools within the UAE or from international schools outside the country.
  3. Advanced Track Enrollment: This includes students in grades five to eight (the second cycle) who are eligible for the advanced track, previously known as the "elite" track. This category is specifically for Emirati students and children of Emirati women holding Emirati citizenship.

With the extended registration period, parents are encouraged to ensure that all necessary paperwork and procedures are completed by the new deadline, allowing for a smooth enrollment process ahead of the 2025-2026 academic year.
