Ministry of Education Launches 'Ramadan with Family' Initiative for Remote Learning Fridays

In a move to promote family unity and the spiritual values of Ramadan, the UAE Ministry of Education has introduced the 'Ramadan with Family' initiative.

The program allows public school students to engage in remote learning on Fridays during the Holy Month, fostering familial bonds and reinforcing Ramadan’s core principles.

Starting from the first Friday of Ramadan, students will participate in educational and cultural activities from home, supported by their parents in a spiritually enriching environment. This initiative aligns with the UAE leadership’s vision to strengthen family cohesion and social harmony during the sacred month.

While the initiative primarily targets students, teaching staff will continue attending schools as usual. Parents preferring in-person attendance for their children can opt to send them to school, with transportation arrangements being their responsibility. Teachers will supervise attending students, ensuring the regular schedule is maintained.

Students with scheduled Friday exams will attend in-person as per their approved timetables. To facilitate the transition, the Ministry has prepared a comprehensive guidance manual for parents and students. The manual includes curriculum-based activities that emphasize Ramadan’s cultural and religious values, supporting both educational and moral development.

The 'Ramadan with Family' initiative underscores the Ministry’s commitment to nurturing a supportive community environment, helping young minds embrace the spirit of Ramadan while enhancing their academic journey.
