The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure unveiled a suite of advanced digital and technology-driven initiatives during GITEX Global 2025 in Dubai, signaling a major step in the UAE’s journey toward comprehensive digital transformation.

The projects aim to enhance integration across energy, infrastructure, transport, housing, and public services.

Among the key initiatives was the launch of the Global Energy Efficiency Alliance (GEEA) platform, designed to strengthen international cooperation in energy efficiency and sustainability. Using intelligent analytics, GEEA identifies high-impact projects that reduce emissions and boost resource efficiency, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a global leader in the transition to a low-carbon economy.

The Ministry also introduced the National Green Certificates Programme (NGCP), a smart platform that uses artificial intelligence to evaluate and certify sustainable buildings. The system promotes green technology adoption and sets national benchmarks for sustainable development, aligning with the UAE’s target of achieving climate neutrality by 2050.

To enhance service delivery, the Ministry launched the Hybrid Customer Happiness Center model, combining physical and virtual government services. The system improves accessibility, reduces transport-related emissions, and upholds the highest standards of service excellence.

Another highlight was the Integrated Digital Government Services Centre in Fujairah, which offers more than 150 digital services powered by artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and the metaverse. Serving over 20,000 users annually, the center represents a significant step toward a fully digital, paperless government.

Sharif Al Olama, Under-Secretary for Energy and Petroleum Affairs, said the initiatives mark a “quantum leap” in digital transformation and reflect the UAE’s vision of driving innovation and sustainability through advanced technologies.
