The Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MoEI) is presenting a range of cutting-edge technologies and high-tech initiatives at GITEX GLOBAL 2024, highlighting its dedication to digital transformation.
Fahad Al Hammadi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Support Services Sector at MoEI, emphasized the Ministry's commitment to enhancing services through advanced technology.
MoEI's exhibition includes a Metaverse platform with two tracks—one for employees to conduct virtual meetings and events, and another for customers to access services via UAE Pass. The showcase also features a Digital Twin Platform, which creates accurate digital models of assets and operational facilities. This technology allows real-time data transfer, improving performance and operational management by identifying potential malfunctions and predicting risks.
Additionally, the Ministry unveiled its Open Data Portal, offering over 200 datasets across 10 key sectors in energy and infrastructure. This initiative aims to enhance transparency, drive innovation, and provide reliable data for informed decision-making by both government and private entities.
Al Hammadi also highlighted the Data Bridge, designed to streamline the customer journey by reducing documentation requirements and service delivery times. The initiative targets a 100% digital connection with government entities, aiming for 90% customer satisfaction by minimizing the need for repetitive data submissions.
Furthermore, the MoEI is showcasing the Manzili bundle of housing services, part of the Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme. This service simplifies the customer journey by consolidating 18 housing services from 24 entities, reducing the required documents from ten to two and cutting procedural steps from 14 to just three. The MoEI's innovative solutions reflect its commitment to enhancing citizen experience and operational efficiency.
