The Ministry of Finance has completed a nationwide series of field visits designed to equip Emirati youth with practical experience across key financial institutions, reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to preparing future leaders for the national financial sector.

Held from 17 to 20 November, the second phase of the programme brought participants to the Abu Dhabi and Dubai finance departments, the World Bank Group, and the International Finance Corporation. The visits offered direct exposure to budgeting processes, treasury operations, digital transformation, and global macro fiscal planning.

Younis Haji AlKhoori, Under Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, said the initiative reflects the ministry’s focus on building a new generation of financial professionals with the skills to bridge academic knowledge and real world application. He said the programme strengthened youth understanding of federal, local, and international financial systems.

The initiative aligns with the Year of Community and forms part of the ministry’s broader Youth Financial Advisors programme aimed at developing national talent and supporting long term economic sustainability.

During the Dubai visit, participants reviewed budgeting and revenue management practices before sessions at the IFC on development finance and the role of global institutions in sustainability. In Abu Dhabi, officials highlighted advances in digital financial operations, while the World Bank Group shared insights on macro fiscal policy.

Senior representatives from Abu Dhabi, Dubai, the World Bank, and the IFC said the programme supports youth empowerment and deepens collaboration across the public and private sectors. The field visits complemented earlier theoretical training under the Leaders of Finance initiative, giving participants a comprehensive understanding of the UAE’s financial ecosystem.
