The Ministry of Finance has launched the Leaders of Finance initiative under the Youth Financial Advisors Programme to equip Emirati youth with the skills and experience needed to lead the nation’s financial future.

The initiative supports the objectives of the Year of Community and reflects the UAE’s broader commitment to building a financially literate generation.

Developed in partnership with the Federal Youth Authority, the Central Bank of the UAE, the Securities and Commodities Authority, and several national and private entities, the programme offers participants practical exposure to the UAE’s government financial system. It aims to prepare young Emiratis for leadership roles in areas such as budgeting, government finance, tax law, and international financial relations.

Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, said the initiative strengthens community participation in the country’s development journey and empowers youth to become future leaders in public finance. He noted that combining theoretical learning with hands-on experience will enable participants to understand how financial management supports national growth and stability.

Dr. Sultan bin Saif Al Neyadi, Minister of State for Youth Affairs, highlighted that the initiative aligns with the National Youth Agenda 2031, reinforcing the role of youth in advancing financial literacy and sustainable development.

Scheduled for November, the two-week programme includes workshops by Ministry of Finance experts, along with field visits to leading government and international institutions such as the Dubai and Abu Dhabi Departments of Finance, the World Bank Group, and the International Finance Corporation.

Through this initiative, the Ministry aims to cultivate a new generation of Emirati financial leaders equipped with strategic thinking, innovation, and a deep understanding of the nation’s financial ecosystem.
