Ministry of Finance Pioneers Zero Bureaucracy Initiative to Streamline Government Services
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) has unveiled a series of innovative initiatives under the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, including the Zero Bureaucracy Ideas Award and dedicated brainstorming workshops. These initiatives are designed to empower MoF employees and customers to actively contribute to the transformation of government services.
Younis Haji Al Khoori, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to fostering a culture of creativity and innovation.
"These initiatives are part of our strategic national effort to simplify government procedures and eliminate unnecessary requirements, in alignment with the UAE's vision of delivering swift and efficient services to the community. We are confident that these efforts will significantly advance the 'We UAE 2031' vision and the goals of ‘UAE Centennial 2071’."
The Zero Bureaucracy Ideas Award, in particular, encourages staff to propose innovative ideas that streamline government procedures, recognizing their vital role in enhancing the quality and speed of service delivery. A specialist team will assess all proposals, with the most effective ideas being implemented.
Additionally, the Ministry has launched a Zero Bureaucracy webpage, offering comprehensive information about the programme and a platform for customers to share their ideas for improving services. This initiative not only enhances customer experience but also actively involves them in the decision-making process.
Through these initiatives, the Ministry of Finance is leading the charge in creating a more efficient, responsive, and customer-centric government, fully aligned with the UAE's ambitious national objectives.
