Modon Holding has announced a partnership with LuLu Retail to develop and operate hypermarkets and other retail facilities across the UAE and Egypt.
This collaboration aims to provide accessible, community-focused retail solutions, including hypermarkets, supermarkets, and diverse retail outlets, within Modon’s future developments across both countries.
The partnership, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), highlights a joint commitment to leveraging smart retail solutions and enhancing advanced logistics infrastructure. Together, the companies plan to explore high-potential locations for retail expansion while implementing innovative technologies to elevate the customer experience.
A dedicated working committee, comprising representatives from both Modon Holding and LuLu Retail, will oversee the collaboration. This committee aims to optimize operations, promote expertise sharing, and ensure the identification of potential projects to benefit residents and maximize impact.
LuLu Retail, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, is a leading retail chain with an international presence in 23 countries across the Middle East, Asia, the US, and Europe, operating 240 stores in the GCC region. With a commitment to food security in the UAE, Oman, and Bahrain, LuLu sources products from 85 countries, ensuring year-round availability.
Modon Holding Chairman Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi commented on the partnership, emphasizing its role in fostering vibrant communities in the UAE and Egypt.
LuLu Group Chairman Yusuff Ali expressed enthusiasm for delivering unique shopping experiences that cater to diverse community needs, while Modon Holding CEO Bill O'Regan highlighted the partnership's focus on creating future-ready, sustainable retail environments.
