The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) and the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) have unveiled the ‘Early Warning System for All,’ a cutting-edge digital platform designed to monitor weather conditions and natural disasters in real-time.
This initiative is the result of a strategic partnership between MoFA and NCM, aiming to elevate awareness among UAE nationals abroad and to implement proactive measures during severe natural and climatic events, ensuring their safety and security.
The agreement represents a significant milestone in the ongoing collaboration between the two entities and highlights the UAE’s dedication to enhancing public safety through advanced technology and precise data. This will significantly bolster the nation’s crisis management and disaster response capabilities.
The Early Warning System for All is a joint platform focused on delivering timely weather alerts and disaster warnings. It facilitates the seamless exchange of critical information and data, enabling swift and effective responses during emergencies. This system is designed to identify potential risks and develop comprehensive strategies to mitigate them.
The cooperation agreement was signed by Faisal Eissa Lutfi, Assistant Undersecretary for Consular Affairs at MoFA, and Dr. Abdullah Ahmed Al Mandous, Director General of NCM and President of the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO).
MoFA teams work tirelessly around the clock to safeguard UAE nationals abroad, offering assistance and facilitating procedures during crises.
