The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) continues to lead the charge in digital transformation, showcasing its innovative advancements at GITEX GLOBAL 2024.
At the forefront of MoFA’s efforts is the Smart Mission initiative, a forward-thinking strategy aimed at achieving a bureaucracy-free future for consular services through digital integration and artificial intelligence (AI).
Aligned with the UAE’s vision for outstanding, flexible, and always-accessible services, MoFA's strategy highlights the digital transformation of government operations. On October 15, 2024, MoFA hosted a panel discussion titled "Leadership in Digital Transformation: Towards a Human-Centered Future." The session featured representatives from key government entities, including the Ministry of Health and Prevention and the Ministry of Education, focusing on the ongoing digital attestation service integration.
In February 2024, MoFA successfully completed the first phase of digital integration with the Ministry of Health and Prevention, allowing users to access multiple services through a unified digital portal—advancing the Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme.
On October 16, 2024, MoFA's Chief AI Officer, Mohammed Al Mansouri, presented "The Smart Mission: From Zero Bureaucracy to the Future of Consular Services," detailing how AI, IoT, and advanced technologies are enhancing service delivery for citizens, residents, and visitors.
Al Mansouri emphasized MoFA's readiness for this transformation, crediting the ministry’s proactive approach to digital evolution. As MoFA continues its partnerships with public and private sectors, its Smart Mission is set to expand globally, marking a pivotal step in achieving full digital transformation.
MoFA’s participation in GITEX 2024 underscores its commitment to human-centered, innovative services, furthering the UAE’s leadership in digital government operations.
