The Mohammed bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South has announced a major expansion of its Line Maintenance Units (LMUs) to enhance support for airside operators and Fixed Base Operators (FBOs) with direct access to their clients.
The expansion increases the total number of LMUs to 11, spanning 76,000 square feet. Designed as a one-stop aviation hub, the upgraded facilities will include storage and maintenance warehouses, tooling and engineering support, offices, and a world-class pilot rest area. Dedicated shaded parking and tailored amenities are also part of the development. Construction is currently in progress and is expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2026.
Mohammad Al Falasi, Deputy CEO of MBRAH, said the expansion responds to growing demand from the aviation community for line maintenance support. He added that the milestone reflects MBRAH’s commitment to building a robust ecosystem that aligns with Dubai’s vision to lead globally in aviation.
Situated within Dubai South, MBRAH serves as a key free-zone destination for international aerospace players, including airlines, private jet operators, and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) companies. Beyond infrastructure, the hub also houses training and education facilities that aim to strengthen Dubai’s position as a global center for aviation excellence.
