The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBR Aerospace Hub) at Dubai South has achieved a landmark year, registering a record 20,289 business aviation movements in 2025, marking the highest level of private jet activity ever recorded in the emirate.

The figure represents a 17 percent increase compared to 2024, underscoring Dubai’s accelerating role as a global centre for business aviation. Momentum remained strong in the final quarter of the year, with more than 6,926 movements recorded in Q4 2025 alone, reflecting an 18 percent year-on-year rise.

Industry leaders attribute the sustained growth to Dubai’s position as a year-round international hub for business, exhibitions, leisure and entertainment. Major global events hosted in the city, including Dubai Airshow 2025, GITEX Global and the World Government Summit, played a significant role in driving private aviation traffic.

The expansion of business aviation activity aligns with broader tourism growth across the emirate. According to the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, Dubai welcomed 19.59 million international overnight visitors in 2025, a 5 percent increase over the previous year.

Khalifa Al Zaffin, Executive Chairman of Dubai Aviation City Corporation and Dubai South, said the results reflect Dubai’s continued evolution as a global centre for aviation, trade and tourism. He added that Dubai South remains focused on developing a future-ready ecosystem that supports long-term demand, enables seamless operations and strengthens the emirate’s ambition to become the aviation capital of the world.

The milestone reinforces Dubai South’s position as a key driver of the emirate’s aviation and economic growth strategy.
