Mohammed bin Rashid Launches Fifth Edition of Arab Hope Makers Initiative

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the fifth edition of the Arab Hope Makers initiative, the largest philanthropic initiative in the Arab world.

This initiative celebrates individuals and organisations dedicated to creating positive change through charitable, social, and humanitarian work.

Highlighting the power of hope, His Highness said,

“Humans are nourished by hope. Communities flourish on hope, and even the most daunting challenges become manageable with genuine hope. Let us celebrate these Hope Makers, recognise their contributions, and showcase them as role models.”

The initiative, under the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI), invites nominations from individuals, teams, and organisations with impactful projects that improve lives and address local challenges. The winner will receive AED1 million to support their efforts.

Since its launch in 2017, the initiative has received over 300,000 nominations, showcasing inspiring stories of philanthropy and optimism across the Arab world. Mohammad bin Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of MBRGI, highlighted its success in combating despair and fostering hope.

Nominations for the fifth edition are open at arabhopemakers.com. The initiative aims to spotlight tens of thousands of inspiring stories, encouraging the region’s youth to embrace generosity and positive action.
