The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will open the second edition of the Dubai International Library and Publishing Summit 2025 on Thursday, October 30, under the theme The Future of the Publishing Industry.

Running until November 1, the three-day event will gather more than 80 speakers from 20 countries for a packed agenda of 48 sessions and over 20 workshops.

Dr. Mohammed Salem AlMazrooei, Board Member at the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, said the summit reflects the rapid transformation of the global publishing sector and supports innovation and sustainability in the knowledge industry. He emphasized that investing in creative and cultural content is essential for building a knowledge-driven society.

This year’s summit will explore a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence in publishing, digital transformation, content innovation, and the evolution of literary awards. Workshops will offer hands-on training in editorial skills, translation, book design, and copyright management.

Sponsored by Emaar, the event underscores Dubai’s growing role as a global hub for cultural dialogue and publishing excellence. Leading international publishers such as Penguin Random House, Simon & Schuster, and HarperCollins will join regional institutions like the Emirates Publishers Association and several universities and libraries.

Key sessions include Theory for Robots: The Impact of AI on Creativity and Publishing, Building a Sustainable Publishing House, and Copyright in the Age of AI. Open to the public and free to attend, the summit aims to inspire collaboration, innovation, and knowledge exchange while shaping the future of the global publishing landscape.
