The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has unveiled the successful outcomes of two major health initiatives: the "Your Pulse" project and the 2023-2024 National Campaign for Early Detection of Hypertension.

Both programmes aim to enhance cardiovascular health and support the UAE’s strategic goal of fostering institutional change and addressing future health needs.

The results were presented at a MoHAP-hosted event in Dubai, featuring collaborations with various government, private, and telecommunications entities, including Emirates Health Services, Dubai Health Authority, American Hospital, and e&.

"Your Pulse" reached 95% of attendees at healthcare centers, covering 80% of the target demographic. The project focuses on individuals over 40, providing early intervention and treatment. A standardised protocol for the Framingham Cardiovascular Risk Score has also been adopted to reduce cardiovascular mortality by 33% by 2030.

The National Campaign for Early Detection of Hypertension involved over 70,000 participants. The campaign identified 13.2% of participants as hypertensive, with 4% being newly diagnosed cases, highlighting links between hypertension, obesity, and smoking.

Dr. Hussain Al Rand praised the impact of these programmes, emphasizing their alignment with the UAE’s vision for a sustainable healthcare future. Dr. Buthaina Bin Belaila stressed the importance of prevention and public education in improving national health outcomes.

These initiatives mark a significant step towards building a healthier future in line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision.
