MoHAP Honoured for Driving Healthcare Innovation at 2025 GDI Awards
The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has been recognised with the prestigious "Distinguished Innovation Enabler" award and the "Certified Innovative Government Entity" certificate at the 2025 Global Distinguished Innovator Awards (GDI Awards).
The accolade, presented by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI), highlights MoHAP’s outstanding contributions to fostering healthcare innovation in the UAE.
The awards celebrate the ministry’s commitment to empowering health institutions and partners through advanced programmes and initiatives. Among the key projects is the "Future Health Innovation Lab," which leverages cutting-edge tools and methodologies to drive transformative healthcare solutions. These efforts have significantly elevated the quality of healthcare services across the UAE, aligning with the country’s vision for a forward-thinking, innovative future.
Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of MoHAP, hailed the achievement as a testament to the UAE’s dedication to innovation, guided by the nation’s wise leadership and the strategic goals of the UAE Centennial 2071. He emphasised the ministry’s focus on integrating advanced technologies like AI, big data, and global partnerships to future-proof the healthcare sector through the National Future Forecasting Framework for Healthcare.
Saqr Al Hemeiri, Chief Innovation Officer and Director of Strategy and Future at MoHAP, expressed pride in the ministry’s collaborative approach. He noted that the recognition serves as motivation to continue delivering pioneering solutions that enhance community health and wellbeing.
The honour comes as a significant milestone during the UAE's Innovation Month, reinforcing MoHAP’s role in shaping the future of healthcare and positioning the UAE as a global leader in medical innovation.
