The initiative aims to enhance healthcare policies by utilizing precise data to allocate financial resources efficiently, ultimately improving healthcare services and the quality of life for future generations.

The study will evaluate the economic impact of prevalent diseases, providing critical data to help prioritize healthcare financing in the UAE. By targeting resources towards impactful and efficient programs, the study aims to streamline healthcare management and align strategies with both local and global health trends.

The agreement was formalized by Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, MoHAP's Assistant Undersecretary for the Health Regulation Sector, and Safaa El Tayeb El Kogali, the World Bank's Country Director for GCC countries, with numerous officials and experts in attendance.

Dr. Hussain Abdul Rahman Al Rand, Assistant Undersecretary for the Public Health Sector, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating,

"This study will help us identify the key cost drivers of diseases, enabling us to make data-driven decisions that maximize resource efficiency and enhance public health."

Safaa El Kogali highlighted the World Bank’s commitment to strengthening healthcare financing policies in the UAE, noting that evidence-based insights will support sustainable and flexible healthcare systems capable of delivering optimal outcomes.

This collaboration is part of the UAE's broader vision to maintain a sustainable, high-quality healthcare system and reinforce its leadership in adopting international best practices.
