Organised by CXO DX and Leap Media Solutions, the awards are designed to honour IT leaders in the UAE government sector for their exceptional achievements. The 2024 edition focuses on 'The Role of Technology in Enabling Transformation and Business Resilience’, and provides participants with opportunities to explore significant technology trends and solutions, helping them make informed decisions within the sector.
Hamda Al Mazmi and Rawda Al Suwaidi were honoured with the Cybersecurity Excellence Award, while Alia Al Nuaimi received recognition as the IT Manager of the Year. These awards were presented at a ceremony held in Dubai, attended by numerous senior IT decision-makers.

Abdullah Ahmed Ahli, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for the Support Services Sector, said,

Ahli emphasised that these awards reaffirm the Ministry's commitment to digital transformation by delivering outstanding digital government services tailored to meeting customer needs, thereby strengthening its position in cybersecurity and elevating the UAE's profile as a top destination for innovation and technology.
For his part, Samir Al Khouri, Director of the Information Technology Department at the Ministry, stated,

The recognition fuels our momentum in advancing digital health services and enhancing customer engagement. The "CIO Connect Awards 2024" provides a forum for over 50 executive business leaders, including IT managers, information security officials, heads of IT departments, and other senior IT roles, to convene and collaborate.
