The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has launched a nationwide Ramadan campaign to distribute Iftar meals and food supplies to workers across the UAE, reinforcing the country’s commitment to worker welfare and social solidarity during the holy month.

Held under the slogan “Ramadan Brings Us Together with Our Workers,” the initiative is being implemented in collaboration with several humanitarian and private sector partners, including the Emirates Red Crescent, Beit Al Khair Society, UAE Food Bank, and Al Ansari Exchange. The campaign aims to enhance workers’ wellbeing while fostering a spirit of inclusion and community engagement.

Dalal Al Shehhi, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for Labour Protection at MoHRE, said the annual Ramadan initiatives reflect the ministry’s broader efforts to strengthen labour protection and promote a stable and supportive work environment. She noted that involving workers in national and community occasions helps reinforce their sense of belonging while recognising their contributions to the country’s development.

As part of the campaign, three Ramadan tents will be set up across different locations in the UAE to host collective Iftar gatherings organised in coordination with humanitarian partners. The tents are designed to provide a welcoming and spiritual environment where workers can gather and share meals in line with the values of Ramadan.

The ministry is also working with the Giving Family and Happy UAE to distribute Iftar meals directly at workers’ accommodations and workplaces, ensuring assistance reaches beneficiaries wherever they are.

The campaign will run throughout Ramadan, with daily meal distributions and thousands of food parcels provided nationwide, underscoring the UAE’s ongoing commitment to compassion, social cohesion, and worker wellbeing.
