Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) is set to honor 90 winners of the second edition of the Emirates Labour Market Award on November 14. This prestigious award recognizes outstanding private sector companies and their workforce, reinforcing the UAE's reputation as a prime destination for living, working, and investing.
This year, the award has expanded from three to five categories, now including Labour Accommodations and Special Recognition. The increase in categories follows a remarkable response to the inaugural edition, which saw participation soar from 66 to 90 winners, with the total award value rising from AED 9 million to AED 37 million.
MoHRE reported an impressive 120% increase in applications for the second edition, with over 7,700 submissions compared to 3,500 last year. Winners will be recognized across five categories: Establishments, Distinguished Workforce, Labour Accommodation, Business Services Partners, and Special Recognition.
The award aims to enhance the UAE labour market's competitiveness, improve productivity and efficiency, and promote workers' rights while improving their quality of life. MoHRE noted that the increased participation underscores the award's significance in promoting best practices and fostering competitiveness within the private sector.
Winning companies will benefit from several incentives, including classification in MoHRE's first category rankings, discounts on ministry services, priority processing of transactions, and premium call center support. This initiative reflects the UAE's commitment to advancing the wellbeing of its workforce and enhancing the overall business environment.
