The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) launched its groundbreaking "Labour Market Simulation Model" at GITEX Global 2024, attracting significant attention at the federal government’s pavilion.
This innovative model utilizes generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) to improve decision-making efficiency and predict the impact of various policies on the labour market.
Designed to assist economists, policymakers, and MoHRE staff, the model enables users to analyze labour market data across different scenarios. It can estimate the effects of policy changes on key metrics such as employment, wages, and workforce participation. The user-friendly interface, available in both Arabic and English, allows for seamless interaction, resembling popular platforms like ChatGPT.
Omran Al Shamsi, Director of Labour Market Information at MoHRE, emphasized the model's role in the Ministry's ongoing digital transformation.
“This tool allows us to simulate labour market trends using generative AI, providing valuable analytical insights based on real-time data,”
he stated.
Al Shamsi further explained that the model enhances decision-makers’ ability to anticipate the outcomes of policies, reinforcing the UAE's commitment to pioneering government services and maintaining competitiveness in the sector. It not only bolsters smart government initiatives but also supports data analysts in making informed recommendations.
In addition to the Labour Market Simulation Model, the MoHRE platform at GITEX Global 2024 showcased various initiatives aimed at embracing digital transformation and AI, ultimately enhancing customer experience and ensuring satisfaction with MoHRE services.
