The Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology (MoIAT) has launched the third edition of the "Make it in the Emirates Awards," recognizing outstanding contributions to the UAE’s industrial sector.

This year’s edition introduces five additional categories, bringing the total to 15, under the themes of In-Country Value, Factory of the Future, Industry Enablers and Strategic Partners, Leadership and Talent, and Handcrafts.

For the first time, the awards feature a dedicated handcrafts category, aimed at promoting the UAE’s rich heritage and local craftsmanship. Nominations will be open from February 11 to April 21, with interested participants able to apply through the official website.

Winners will be announced at the fourth edition of the Make it in the Emirates Forum, set to take place on May 19 at ADNEC Centre, Abu Dhabi. The forum, expected to be the largest since its inception, will welcome senior government officials, industry leaders, investors, and funding bodies.

The awards play a vital role in fostering a competitive industrial landscape, encouraging companies to implement best practices and advanced technologies to enhance their local, regional, and global standing. The evaluation committee ensures a rigorous and transparent selection process, with candidates assessed based on category-specific criteria.

The upcoming forum will focus on key sectors, including food and beverages, agritech, pharmaceuticals, maritime manufacturing, metals, handcrafts, advanced manufacturing, chemicals, hydrogen, aerospace, automotive, and more. With its expanded scope, the initiative reinforces the UAE’s commitment to industrial innovation and economic growth.
