Moro Hub, the digital arm of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with the Dubai Financial Audit Authority during GITEX Global 2025, held from October 13 to 17 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The agreement aims to strengthen collaboration on technology and sustainable digital solutions, supporting Dubai’s ongoing digital transformation.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Marwan Bin Haidar, Vice Chairman – Digital & Group CEO of Digital DEWA, and Amir Ali Al Gergawi, Executive Director of Corporate Support Sector at Dubai Financial Audit Authority, in the presence of HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of DEWA, and HE Abdulrahman Al Hareb, Director General of the Audit Authority.
HE Al Tayer highlighted that the partnership aligns with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to position the UAE as a global model for an integrated digital economy. He emphasized that Moro Hub will provide advanced, secure, and future-ready digital infrastructure to support smart, sustainable government operations.
The collaboration will focus on key areas including colocation and cloud services, advanced cybersecurity, managed and professional services, emerging technologies, and digital innovation. It aims to enhance resilience, operational efficiency, and data protection across Dubai’s government systems.
HE Abdulrahman Al Hareb noted that the partnership will explore innovative solutions to boost operational efficiency and technological capabilities while reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in advanced digital infrastructure and smart governance.
Both entities stressed their shared commitment to driving technology-driven governance, digital trust, and sustainable transformation across Dubai’s government ecosystem. By leveraging Moro Hub’s capabilities, the agreement seeks to create a robust digital framework that strengthens transparency, innovation, and secure digital operations.
