The Museum of the Future, in partnership with Dubai Municipality, will host Urban Future Week on 10–11 November 2025, uniting global experts, policymakers, and innovators to shape the next generation of cities.
The event aims to explore how urban planning can evolve amid technological, environmental, and social transformations while driving practical strategies for sustainable urban development.
More than 40 speakers and over 1,000 participants from around the world are expected to take part in keynote sessions, panel discussions, and exhibitions showcasing advancements in sustainability, governance, and smart design. The event will reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading hub for future foresight and applied innovation.
Urban Future Week will focus on critical themes such as future readiness, digital infrastructure, and urban resilience. Discussions will address how cities can adapt to global challenges through data-driven planning and inclusive design.
The programme will also spotlight ‘Hewi Dubai’, a people-centred initiative promoting inclusive communities and sustainable agriculture. The project highlights Dubai’s forward-thinking vision for building vibrant, environmentally connected cities that preserve cultural values while embracing innovation.
Eng. Marwan Ahmed bin Ghalita, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, said the event reflects Dubai’s commitment to rethinking urban governance and enhancing adaptability in line with the UAE Green Agenda 2030 and the UAE Centennial 2071 Vision.
Khalfan Belhoul, CEO of Dubai Future Foundation, noted that the collaboration underscores Dubai’s leadership in developing resilient, technology-driven cities. The event will culminate in a comprehensive report outlining insights and recommendations to guide future policymaking and strengthen Dubai’s role in shaping the cities of tomorrow.
