The National Emergency Crisis and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA) has launched the National Programme for Developing Specialised Volunteer Cadres for Emergency Response.

This initiative, organized in collaboration with the Emirates Foundation, aims to bolster the UAE's preparedness and response capabilities for emergencies and disasters.

The program is structured into three phases: the foundational phase, which offers basic training to volunteers; the specialised phase, where participants receive targeted training in specific areas; and the practical phase, which involves hands-on exercises to apply the acquired skills.

Ali Rashid Al Neyadi, Director-General of NCEMA, emphasized the importance of the programme in enhancing the country's emergency response capabilities.

He stated,

By training a specialised volunteer workforce, we ensure that we are prepared to provide immediate and effective support during crises.

The initiative aims to create a well-trained volunteer workforce capable of supporting national emergency response efforts, thereby strengthening the UAE's resilience and readiness in times of crisis.
