Types of Extensions

Entry permits can be extended for 30 days or more, depending on the visa type:

30-Day Extensions

Three types of permits qualify for a 30-day extension:

  1. Tourism Entry Permit: Extendable twice, only through tourism companies.
  2. Visit Visa Entry Permit: Extendable twice.
  3. Entry Permit for GCC Residents: Extendable once.

Required Documents: A passport copy is required for each category.

Fees:

  • Tourism Entry Permit: AED 610 (including AED 10 e-services fee)
  • Visit Visa Entry Permit: AED 610 (including AED 10 e-services fee)
  • GCC Residents Entry Permit: AED 710 (including AED 10 e-services fee)

Extensions Beyond 30 Days

Certain permits allow extensions beyond 30 days:

  1. Entry Permit for Medical Treatment: Extendable for up to 90 days.
  2. Entry Permit for Companions of GCC Citizens: Extendable for up to 60 days.
  3. Entry Permit for Study: Extendable for up to 90 days.
