A new interactive guide titled ‘Winter in Hatta’ was launched today by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office (GDMO), inviting both residents and visitors to explore the diverse natural attractions and entertainment offerings of Dubai’s Hatta region.

Launched as part of the latest phase of the #DubaiDestinations winter campaign, the guide spotlights the various events and activities of the inaugural Hatta Festival, which opened its doors to visitors today. A lively celebration of culture, sports and family entertainment, the festival will be open to visitors until 31 December. The guide also provides an extensive list of things to do for visitors planning to explore Dubai's picturesque mountain region during the winter.

Organised by Brand Dubai and the Supreme Committee Overseeing Hatta Development, the Hatta Festival serves as the centrepiece of the #DubaiDestinations campaign, which aims to showcase the unique places, activities and attractions that make Dubai one of the world’s most-loved winter getaways.

Shaima Al Suwaidi, Director of Brand Dubai, said:

“The 'Winter in Hatta' guide is a comprehensive compilation providing a curated list of staycation options, delectable restaurants and cafes and an array of engaging activities that promise an unforgettable winter escapade. The guide allows people to choose their next destination in Hatta, whether it be the Leem Lake activations—a focal point of the Hatta Festival featuring artistic workshops, cultural programmes, sports activities and community engagement events—and Hatta Wadi Hub activations, or to explore Hatta as a region with all that it offers, from adventurous experiences to cultural festivities. By launching the guide, we seek to further raise Hatta’s profile as a key tourism destination that is a magnet for visitors from across the globe.”

The guide captures the vibrant spirit of the Hatta experience this winter season. Additionally, it provides residents and visitors with the opportunity to delve into a diverse array of exciting outlets within Brand Dubai’s ‘Proudly from Dubai’ network. These outlets are highlighting distinctive culinary concepts and innovative products at the ‘Proudly from Dubai’ Market during the Hatta Festival. Through a collaboration with the Community Development Authority, the Market also highlights the entrepreneurial stories of start-up businesses initiated by citizens in Hatta.

The 'Winter in Hatta' guide also features a list of activities organised by Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and Dubai Municipality in Hatta this winter. These include a delightful array of events, including traditional musical performances, enchanting light displays, food and beverage pop-ups, sports activities and live entertainment. Together, these elements create an immersive experience, offering families an intimate experience with Hatta's rich culture, diverse cuisine, and the breathtaking grandeur of its natural surroundings.

The guide features information about a photography workshop hosted by Brand Dubai in partnership with the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum International Photography Awards (HIPA). The workshop incorporates a competition for the best photo and video capturing the essence of Hatta.

Additionally, the guide provides details about the upcoming Hatta Honey Festival scheduled to take place from 27-31 December 2023. The event invites visitors to savour the renowned locally harvested honey of Hatta. This initiative not only supports local economic activities but also serves as a platform for sharing expertise in honey production and showcases a diverse range of honey products.

The Hatta Festival is open to visitors five days a week from 3.00 pm to 9.00 pm, and on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) from 10.00 am to 10.00 pm.
