On Wednesday, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs declared the introduction of a new entry permit for GCC country residents who are coming to Dubai.

This online entry permit system caters to GCC residents desiring to journey to Dubai. This facility is only accessible to individuals possessing a valid residency lasting a minimum of one year, without any travel restrictions upon their entry, and their occupation must be mentioned on their work and residency cards.

To request the permit, you will require:

1. Your original passport
2. Upon arrival, present the original residence permit issued by a GCC country
3. A civil or labour card.

The procedure is as follows:

Using the GDRFAD website:

1. Log in to the smart services through (UAE Pass or username)
2. Select the service
3. Fill in the application
4. Pay the fees: AED250 plus VAT (5%)

Within 48 hours, the permit will be valid.
