NMDC Energy Secures $1.136 Billion EPC Contract for Taiwan’s Tung-Hsiao Power Plant Project

NMDC Energy has been awarded an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract by Taiwan Power Company (Taipower) for the 2nd Stage Renewal Project of the Tung-Hsiao Power Plant.

The $1.136 billion project includes the design, construction, and installation of 111 kilometers of subsea pipeline, at depths of 10 to 55 meters, connecting Taichung and Tung-Hsiao along Taiwan’s west coast.

The scope of work encompasses pipeline installation, shore approach works, and dredging operations totaling approximately 6 million cubic meters. The project will be led by NMDC Energy, utilizing the expertise of NMDC Dredging & Marine, highlighting the NMDC Group’s multidisciplinary approach to large-scale infrastructure projects.

Eng. Yasser Zaghloul, CEO of NMDC Group, stated,
