Olympus has expanded its regional footprint with the opening of its Middle East, Turkey and Africa Service Training Centre at Dubai Science Park, strengthening technical capabilities for healthcare partners across 33 countries.
The AED 3.7 million facility was inaugurated by senior representatives from Japan, Dubai Science Park, Olympus META, and GulfDrug LLC. The centre leverages Dubai Science Park’s infrastructure to support Olympus’ global network, which spans the Americas, Europe, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific.
Located within one of the region’s leading science-focused ecosystems, the centre offers hands-on product training, equipment demonstrations, and technical workshops covering Olympus’ medical and surgical portfolio. It also houses a modern service and repair workshop and a dedicated spare-parts warehouse, positioning Dubai as a key logistics and support hub for regional hospitals and medical companies.
Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of Dubai Science Park, said the facility reflects Olympus’ long-term commitment to the region’s growing healthcare sector and aligns with national ambitions under the We the UAE 2031 vision and Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
Ronald Boueri, Vice President and Managing Director of Olympus META, described the centre as a milestone that enhances the company’s ability to deliver advanced training and technical expertise across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey.
The facility includes two fully equipped training rooms designed to upskill 150 engineers annually, offering certifications in repair methods, preventive maintenance, installation, and service management. It becomes part of Dubai Science Park’s broader ecosystem, which supports more than 6,500 professionals across life, energy, and environmental sciences.
