One Za’abeel Earns Two Awards of Excellence from CTBUH 2024
Dubai’s iconic One Za’abeel, developed by the Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD), has clinched two prestigious Awards of Excellence from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH).
Celebrated globally for its architectural prowess and engineering ingenuity, One Za’abeel triumphed in two categories: "Best Tall Building in the Middle East & Africa 2024" and "Best Tall Building, 300 meters and above 2024". These accolades underscore its status among the world's foremost projects in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.
The CTBUH Awards recognize projects that redefine tall building design and contribute significantly to urban environments worldwide. One Za’abeel, distinguished by its commitment to sustainability and human-centric design, has set new benchmarks since its inauguration in late 2023. Achieving LEED Gold and WiredScore Platinum certifications, the development integrates luxury residences, Grade-A offices, the ultra-luxurious One&Only One Za’abeel urban resort, and SIRO One Za’abeel fitness hotel, among other amenities.
Matthew Shaw, General Manager of One Za’abeel, expressed delight at the global recognition, emphasizing the project’s impact on Dubai's architectural landscape. Dr. Mohamed Hegazy, Head of Supervision at WSP Middle East, praised the project for its technical excellence and sustainable innovation.
With eyes set on the CTBUH 2024 International Conference in London and Paris, where it will compete for the coveted "Overall Category Winner" titles, One Za’abeel continues to elevate standards in tall building design and redefine urban living paradigms.
