Over 4,300 Runners Set to Compete in Road Race at Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament
Dubai is set to witness an electrifying night of endurance as more than 4,300 runners take to the track at the prestigious Nad Al Sheba Sports Tournament this evening (Saturday, March 8).
The event, held under the slogan ‘Limitless Capabilities’, is the largest of its kind during Ramadan and will take place at the Meydan Racecourse from 9 PM onwards.
Runners of various nationalities and ages will compete across 10km, 5km, and 4km categories, catering to professional athletes, community participants, and junior racers. The 10km Open category will see male and female citizens, along with national teams, club athletes, police teams, and armed forces personnel, in action. The 5km race is set for community-level participants, including senior citizens (50+). Young athletes will showcase their skills in the 4km race, featuring boys and girls aged 11-14 years.
All races will be officiated under the regulations of the UAE Athletics Federation, ensuring a competitive yet fair sporting atmosphere.
Meanwhile, in the padel competition, hosts UAE have secured a thrilling 2-1 victory against Kuwait, earning a spot in the final against the Netherlands. The championship battle promises to be an intense showdown as the tournament continues to celebrate sportsmanship and high-level athletic performance.
