More than 500 coders have passed the assessment conducted by the Coders HQ, under the umbrella of the National Programme for Coders collaboration with Emirates NBD, aiming to pave the way for youth talents to work and gain expertise with leading companies in the UAE.
The assessment was part of the "National Digital Talent Programme” launched in partnership with the Minister of State for Artificial intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications Office, aiming to build and grow local digital talent by providing the necessary resources and equipping young UAE nationals with critical skills and practical knowledge needed to flourish in the field of digital and information technologies including Artificial Intelligence, ultimately contributing to priority sectors of the national digital economy.
The Programme aims to catalyse talents and skills of youth, through nurturing a pool of UAE interns over the course of the next four years as part of ongoing efforts to support UAE government’s National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence 2031, which aims at developing a world-class national workforce proficient in AI and related technologies.
Omar bin Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, stressed that the UAE government under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, invests in talents and young coders, builds their capacities, and provides them with the necessary skills and practical knowledge; empowering them to participate in developing the AI sector, coding, as well as the vital areas for the national digital economy.
Providing opportunities for talents as well as coders, building their digital capacities, and aiding them in gaining the practical knowledge while working with experts, specialists, and global technology pioneers, enables coders specialised in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, will enhance the efforts in innovating the best solutions and build a better future, he added.

The assessment took place from at the Coders HQ aiming to build an innovative network between coders and the private sector, providing them an opportunity to gain practical experience, and raising the number of coders in the UAE.
