Park Now, Pay Later: Parkin Launches New Mobile App to Revolutionize Parking in Dubai

Parkin PJSC, Dubai’s largest paid public parking operator, has unveiled a new mobile app designed to enhance convenience and streamline parking transactions. Launched on Monday, the app introduces several innovative features to support the city’s evolving urban mobility landscape.

Key Features of the Parkin App

Available on iOS and Android, the Parkin app offers:

  • ‘Park Now, Pay Later’ Option: Allows users to defer parking payments for added flexibility.
  • Real-Time Parking Finder: Helps motorists locate available parking spaces efficiently.
  • Advance Booking & Scheduling: Enables users to pre-plan parking and integrate bookings into their calendars.
  • Clustering Feature: Groups available parking spaces based on real-time data, ensuring a faster and smoother experience.
  • Auto-Renewal & Seamless Payments: Ensures uninterrupted parking sessions with automatic fee payments.

Eng. Mohamed Abdulla Al Ali, CEO of Parkin, emphasized the app’s role in supporting Dubai’s 2040 Urban Master Plan, which aims to create a sustainable, connected city.

"By simplifying the parking process and giving users greater control, we are enhancing urban mobility and contributing to Dubai’s vision for the future," he stated.

How the Parkin App Works

Users can register via UAE Pass, RTA accounts, or a direct Parkin account. Once logged in, they can:

  • Pay for public and private parking, including multi-storey car parks.
  • Store parking permits in a digital wallet for easy access.
  • Utilize AutoPay with ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) to detect vehicle entry/exit and automatically deduct fees.
  • Access partnered parking locations, including Majid Al Futtaim malls (Mall of the Emirates, Deira City Centre).

Upcoming Enhancements

Parkin plans to expand app capabilities to include:

  • EV Charging Integration – Users will soon be able to pay for parking and electric vehicle (EV) charging in a single transaction.
  • Additional Services – Select parking locations will offer car washing, mobile refueling, engine oil changes, and tyre checks for added convenience.

With 95 million parking transactions processed in the first nine months of 2024, Parkin’s rapid growth reflects its commitment to innovation.
