Parkonic, the UAE’s leading smart parking operator, and Salik, Dubai’s exclusive toll gate provider, have partnered with Dubai Holding to launch the region’s first fully AI-powered, autonomous on-street and off-street parking solution.
Spanning over 36,000 parking spaces across Dubai’s landmark communities, the initiative marks a major step towards a seamless urban mobility ecosystem aligned with Dubai’s Smart City 2030 vision.
The new system eliminates paper tickets, barriers, and manual inspections, instead relying on artificial intelligence and real-time software integration. Salik’s automated payment system enables instant, cashless billing with zero interaction, reducing parking-related delays and fines. The multilingual platform also supports Dubai’s sustainability efforts by cutting congestion and lowering carbon emissions.
Imad Alameddine, CEO of Parkonic, emphasized the project’s future-oriented design, noting its role in preparing the city for autonomous vehicles and AI-driven urban infrastructure. The partnership sets a new benchmark in smart mobility and reinforces Dubai’s position as a leader in connected urban development.
