The Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation has unveiled the Dubai Customs AI Platform, a significant advancement in their ambitious vision to bolster Dubai's leadership in innovation.

This interactive platform is designed to enable developers to build AI-powered systems and programmes, enhancing the customs experience and providing a collaborative space for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to grow.

His Excellency Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, Chairman of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, emphasized the importance of integrating innovative technology strategies, particularly AI, to solidify Dubai's reputation as a leading global digital city.

Our innovative technology strategies enhance Dubai's position as a global digital city employing AI technologies,

bin Sulayem stated.

These efforts align with the Dubai Government's strategic objectives and contribute to the Dubai Economic Agenda D33, supporting the city's economic growth and development.

The new AI platform is expected to significantly improve the commercial and logistics supply chain by leveraging modern technologies to ensure faster and more efficient operations. It aims to elevate the quality and usability of digital data, adhering to the highest standards of quality, ease of use, and governance.

His Excellency Nasser Al Neyadi, CEO of the Ports, Customs, and Free Zone Corporation, highlighted the platform's potential to create new job opportunities and support the economic and logistics ecosystem.

Through this platform, we aim to bring technological innovations that expedite our journey to global leadership in the customs and logistics sectors,

Al Neyadi noted.

The platform aligns with the Dubai Digital Strategy, aiming to ensure data maturity and effectiveness, enhance data quality, and position Dubai as a major decision-making hub.

Al Neyadi further explained that the platform will act as an incubator for major companies in the AI field, offering an environment conducive to exchanging innovations and experiences. It is designed to attract global companies interested in AI technologies, ranging from startups to established entities, fostering collaboration and the development of technical solutions.

Additionally, the platform supports entities that lack the capability to build non-AI-powered systems, providing them with integrated programmes that can be linked to their current systems. It also offers new programmes focused on supply chains, risk analysis, and more, enhancing the efficiency of the commercial and logistics supply chain by optimizing supply and clearance operations faster and at lower costs while ensuring high security and efficiency.
